Photo merchandise software manufacturer, Taopix, has launched Taopix Portfolio 3.3, which will be debuted at photokina 2012, 18-23 September, Cologne. Demonstrated live on the stand, the leading end-to-end platform for the creation and sale of online photo book and photo gift products contains over 50 new features and enhancements.
These new features are designed to further drive volume sales and increase profitability for photo finishers and digital printers, as well as enhance the overall customer experience.
Among the many new front-end product enhancements within Taopix Portfolio 3.3, is a Single Prints feature enabling customers to buy individual photo prints. In addition, significant upgrades to the Shopping Cart facility make up-selling more prominent and successful, with enhancements to the Voucher feature now supporting custom scripts for almost unlimited voucher promotions.

Ensuring compatibility with leading digital printing solutions, Taopix Portfolio 3.3’s Production module offers JDF support (1) for a seamless production workflow.
Within the Taopix Designer module, end customers can now also apply page style and background changes to all pages within a photo book. This user-friendly tool dramatically increases the opportunity for creativity and personalisation, enabling production of a more valuable and personal product. The Taopix Designer module also now incorporates a dynamic splash screen background. Upon launch of the application, this new background enables users to host customer promotions and advertising, allowing users to further drive valuable new revenue streams
A further benefit to photo finishers and digital printers is within the Shopping Centre module for financial transactions. Built into Taopix Portfolio 3.3 is the ability to apply relevant tax rates on individual products within the same order, enabling some to be zero-rated as appropriate. In addition, the Shopping Centre module now enables end customers to apply the balance of unused gift cards to their account for future use.
