Nashua were richly rewarded for their creativity at the Africa Print Expo, which took place from 7-9 September, having won the Large Stand Award at the event.

As one of the 140 leading suppliers showcasing over 500 international brands, Nashua stood out from the rest as they launched their new Colour Logic and Marcom Central PROC7100SX, with white ink capabilities. The Nashua stand was themed ‘we play in colour’ and was replete with colourful aerial performers.

Nashua Product Printing Manager, Brent Gehlig, said Nashua wanted to show people they’re serious about production print and colour with their unique and eye-catching display.

‘We didn’t want to settle for a stand with a whole lot of hardware and software. We wanted people to stop, stare and then listen to our incredible product offering,’ said Gehlig. ‘It’s about driving brand awareness and standing out in the crowd.’

The dancers hanging from the ceiling attracted more attention than envisioned. Visitors to the exhibition were invited to have their photo taken with the aerial dancers and had it printed from the PROC7100SX onto an ‘I was there’ certificate.

To add to the fun, Nashua had mini-cupcake boxes printed from the PROC7100SX, filled with delicious, fresh cupcakes which were enjoyed by visitors to the stand.

Africa Print is South Africa’s leading commercial and digital print exhibition. It’s the go-to expo to gain insights into the latest market trends, newest tech developments and to tap into the experience of industry leaders.

Gehlig explained how Nashua has managed to remain a leading pioneer in business solutions and technology through innovation. ‘We engage customers face to face about what our technology can do for them to stay relevant,’ he said.
