Xerox will showcase new wide format solutions, including the IJP 2000 wide format printer, at the Africa Print Regional Expo, taking place from 12-13 March at the CTICC, Cape Town. The expo sponsor will also showcase its J75 and X1000 Colour Presses.
IJP 2000 Inkjet Wide Format Printer
The increased speed of the IJP 2000 means printers can accept and produce more wide format jobs – even last minute requests. For example, it can print an A0 page in full colour with a resolution of 1600 x 1600dpi in just seven seconds. It will give customers a huge competitive advantage. The printer, which is driven by Caldera’s Grand RIP Plus, is suitable for a range of substrates such as textile, vinyl, backlit, banner fabric and stoplight films as well as standard and coated papers. It comprises five stationary print heads that use breakthrough technology, enabling printers to achieve results that have been previously unattainable in the market.
J75 Digital Colour Production Printer/Copier
With the growth of colour pages still a sweet spot for printers, the J75 makes it easier to capture more lucrative jobs, ranging from photo books and brochures to direct-mail pieces and catalogues. For commercial print shops producing high-volume, high-value applications, the Xerox Colour J75 offers additional productivity, running all paper stocks, including heavyweight up to 300gsm, at full rated speed – 75 pages per minute (ppm). It can easily match corporate and industry colours with Xerox’s Automated Colour Quality Suite. The J75 also features the convenience of a walk-up copier; automatically scans and copies in duplex mode, scans images at a detailed maximum of 600 x 600 dpi and offers the flexibility of multiple scan outputs.
X1000 Digital Colour Production Press
With flexible workflow, feeding and finishing and a clear toner station that enables flood or spot coating on the fly, the press easily meets the stringent demands of the professional commercial printer. It features an even wider colour gamut that can produce vibrant images with smooth sweeps that command – and hold – attention. Running all substrate weights at rated speeds of 100 ppm, the press delivers one of the widest ranges of media handling, from a light weight 55 gsm to a hefty 350 gsm. As with all Xerox digital presses, the X1000 comes with a choice of two powerful print servers (Digital Front Ends) – either Efi Fiery or Xerox FreeFlow – that can be integrated with all industry-standard pre-press workflows.
