David Kitson has assumed the role of Nilpeter Ltd.’s Managing Director, succeeding Nick Hughes, who has led the UK organisation with distinction for more than three decades. Hughes joined Nilpeter in 1990 and has played a central role in establishing Nilpeter as a leading press supplier within the UK label industry.

Under his leadership, Nilpeter UK has built strong customer relationships, a solid market position, and a reputation for professionalism and long-term partnership.

To ensure continuity and stability for customers, partners and employees, the transition will take place over a defined handover period. During this phase, Hughes will remain an active part of the business, working closely with Kitson to secure a smooth and well-structured transition.

‘Nilpeter has been a huge part of my professional life, and I am very proud of what we have built together in the UK,’ said Hughes. ‘This transition has been carefully planned, and I am fully committed to supporting Kitson and the team to ensure continuity for our customers. I am confident that Nilpeter UK is in very good hands going forward.’

Kitson brings extensive experience from the printing industry, most recently from Robert Graphics, where he was responsible for managing sales activities within an international environment. His background combines strong commercial insight with a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.

‘I am honoured to be joining Nilpeter UK and to take over from Hughes, whose contribution to the company and the UK label industry is widely recognised,’ said Kitson. ‘Nilpeter has a strong heritage, a loyal customer base and a clear strategic direction. I look forward to building on this foundation together with the team, focusing on long-term partnerships, performance and future opportunities for our customers.’

Nilpeter CEO Peter Eriksen underlines that the appointment is part of a long-term strategy for the UK market.

‘Hughes has made an exceptional contribution to Nilpeter over more than 30 years, and we are grateful that he will continue to support the business during the transition,’ said Eriksen. ‘At the same time, we are very pleased to welcome Kitson as managing director of Nilpeter UK. His industry experience, leadership profile and commercial mindset make him a strong fit for Nilpeter and for our ambitions in the UK market. This transition ensures continuity, stability and a clear focus on the future.’

With this planned handover, Nilpeter reaffirms its long-term commitment to the UK market and to supporting customers with reliable partnerships, proven technology and a clear vision for the future.
