Kemtek Distributes Flint Group’s Nyloflex Plates

Kemtek Print Solutions is now a distributor of the Flint Group’s Nyloflex plates in the packaging industry across sub-Saharan Africa.

The Flint nyloflex FTF Digital plate is an inherently flat top flexo plate combined with a special, textured plate surface that eliminates the need for surface screening.

Available in thicknesses from 1.14mm up to 1.7mm, FTF Digital provides flat top dots by simply processing like any standard digital plate. And, with no additional equipment, processing step or consumable item required, its special textured plate surface eliminates the need for time-consuming surface screening, providing an even ink lay down and increased solid ink density with just a standard resolution of 2400 or 2540dpi.

Following the easy way with Flint Nyloflex FTF Digital allows printing companies to realise a significant reduction in complexity, as well as increased efficiency in the prepress and plate making process. Each FTF Digital plate displays the advantages of flat top dot geometry, including less dot gain variation – resulting in improved production consistency as well as reduced bump up while reaching the first stable tonal values (e.g 1.2% at 152lpi), increasing image contrast.

Extensive field trials undertaken by Flint Group show a significant improvement of the typical trail edge void effect with the use of the Nyloflex FTF Digital plate.
