Zambian company DIGIprint has won the Xerox Africa distributor award. DIGIprint received the award at the annual Xerox Africa Distributors Conference held at the Spier wine estate in Stellenbosch, Cape Town, last month.
‘DIGIprint’s focus on customer service, combined with dedication and passion, has seen it deliver a stellar performance over the course of 2014,’ said Johan Basson, CEO at Bytes Document Solutions.
Christos Diakosavas, DIGIprint managing director, said the company has offered Xerox products in Zambia for just a few years. ‘However, in that time we have created and maintained a substantial customer base by presenting custom-made solutions based on innovative Xerox solutions.’
The company performance is greatly aided by the extent of the Xerox range, which provides a broad reach. Xerox solutions are combined with DIGIprint’s efficient and effective Service Delivery Model. ‘We recently adopted a new strategy to improve the service level of our customer and technical support and invested heavily in recruiting new technicians and sending them for training,’ said Diakosavas. ‘That’s in pursuit of one of our biggest drivers: keeping our clients happy.’
Diakosavas confirmed the shifting sands of the market. ‘It is definitely changing in Zambia. The market demands higher quality, affordability and faster and more effective print solutions.’
While some may believe the printing industry is under pressure, he said that isn’t necessarily the case. ‘The needs of our clients are constantly growing and we are rapidly expanding as a result, having opened a second branch in Lusaka last year, with a third opening this month,’ he said. A branch in the Copperbelt further demonstrates growing Zambian demand for speed, quality and efficiency.
Basson said organisations like DIGIprint, which are able to adapt to the changing requirements of the market, are set to prosper. ‘That comes down to a combination of the right technology, people and the right focus to meet the Zambian market demand. I congratulate DIGIprint on building a great dynamic business that is getting the formula right.’
