CMYK Industries Exhibits iColor Printing Solutions

2099

CMYK Industries showcased its new iColor 200 label printer and iColor 350 toner sublimation printer at the Africa Print Expo, which took place from 11-13 September at Gallagher Convention Centre.

The iColor 200 continuous roll printer is for users who want to control their label spend. With no setup costs or excess ordering of labels, the printer is perfect for all short-run needs. Features include functionality for single cut labels (roll to cut) and even longer runs (roll to roll) and printing with pigment and dye-based inks on a variety of substrates such as PET, BOPP, vinyl and more. Applications include: wine, beverage, beer, food, chemicals, home and personal care, pharmaceutical, supply chain, logistics and more.

Users can also add the optional LF200 finisher to create customised shapes and sizes. It supports roll widths up to 158.75mm wide and features drag knife cutting technology to cut, split, laminate and remove waste in minutes.

The iColor 350 is a first of its kind, toner-based dye sublimation transfer printer. ‘Our iColor 350 boasts a high quality speed of 20 Pages per minute versus 1 page per minute on competing inkjet systems. You can transfer onto a wide variety of garments, cell phone covers, awards, flip-flops, bags, coasters, ceramic mugs, home décor etc. There are also no specialised sublimation papers needed – you merely print on normal A4 80 gram paper,’ said CMYK Industries owner Patrick Naude.

‘The final deciding factor for me was when I saw how much higher the toner yields on the iColor 350 were versus inkjet machines, thus making the cost per print a lot cheaper to run on our iColor 350,’ added Naude.
