Big 5 Distribution showcased a wide range of Citizen Systems printing solutions at the Africa Print Expo, including labelling, point of sale (POS) and photo applications. The event took place from 9-11 September at Gallagher Convention Centre.
A wide range of direct thermal and thermal transfer label printers could be seen, featuring paper widths up to 118mm (the CL-S6621 model has a paper width of 50-178mm) and various resolutions, sizes, weights and accessories like peelers and cutters. Papers include labels, tags, cards, polypropylene and thermal paper as roll or fanfold.
Also showcased were the CT-E301 and CT-S4500 POS printers, with respective print speeds of 250mm/sec and 200mm/sec. The CT-E301 uses thermal receipt paper while the CT-S4500 can process both thermal receipt paper and labels.
The CZ-01 (300 x 300dpi), CX-02 and CY-02 (each up to 300 x 600dpi) dye-sublimation photo printers, which include USB interface, come in various sizes and weights, and include a carry bag and head cleaning pens, were also on display.
