Xerox presented four of its customers with Special Appreciation Awards at the Africa Print Expo, which took place from 2-4 July at Gallagher Convention Centre.
The company was the first customer in the Middle East and Africa to buy a Xerox iGen 150 Press, which was purchased last year. The industry-leading technology and workflow of iGen 150 make it possible to get remarkable quality and outstanding productivity on every job. ‘We are pleased to share this award with Ren-Form, an exceptional business which has put its faith in Xerox’s innovative technology,’ said Warren Mande, Xerox.
The company bought the first Xerox IJP 2000 in South Africa. The IJP 2000 gives printers the extra speed needed to produce more jobs faster, said Sommer. The incredible speed of the IJP 2000 allows print shops to produce more wide format jobs in a very short space of time. It can print an A0 page in full colour with a resolution of 1600 x 1600dpi in just seven seconds. ‘We’ve increased our sales and opened up different business revenues with the IJP 2000,’ said Clive Slack, CEO of Sisonke Printers.
Tygan Digital and Signage
Tygan Digital and Signage purchased a Xerox J75 press. With the growth of colour pages still a sweet spot for printers, the J75 makes it easier to capture more lucrative jobs, ranging from photo books and brochures to direct-mail pieces and catalogues. For commercial print shops producing high-volume, high-value applications, the Xerox Colour J75 offers additional productivity, running all paper stocks, including heavyweight up to 300gsm, at full rated speed – 75 pages per minute (ppm).
Lebone Litho Printers
The company received a Recognition Award for the first Xerox iGen 150 with Fiery purchased in Africa, as well as an award for being the biggest Digital Monochrome print volume contributor for 2013/14.
