Xaar will highlight how its technologies and printheads are enabling high-speed, high-quality variable data printing for modern coding and marking applications. As manufacturers and the supply chain prepare for GS1 Sunrise 2027’s increasingly demanding coding requirements, the need for reliable high-speed print performance is growing.
Xaar will also announce the launch of the black version of its Versatex printbar at interpack, extending the platform’s capability for high-definition black variable data printing on labels that have already been printed on analogue presses. The event is taking place May 7-13 in Düsseldorf.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into existing label presses and finishing lines, Versatex enables real-time, on-the-fly serialisation, authentication codes and other machine and human readable information to be added without disrupting production workflows. This gives label converters a practical route to stronger traceability, brand protection and customer engagement through consistent, production-grade digital print.
Titled ‘Breaking the Speed Barrier: How Xaar’s technology enables the fastest Drop on Demand (DOD) inkjet printheads’ there will be a session, presented by Justin Noble, Xaar’s Director of Product and Applications, and taking place at interpack on 8 May. It will focus on how advanced inkjet technologies are helping packaging and retail production lines deliver crisp, dependable codes at industrial speeds.
With lines often running at 300 metres per minute, code quality cannot come at the expense of throughput. Xaar’s High Laydown and TF Technology together with its unique printhead architecture play a crucial role in enabling high speed, long throw distance coding machines. Manufacturers can improve performance, accuracy and 2D barcode robustness, while meeting the speed and reliability needed in real production environments.
Alongside Noble, members of the Xaar team will be available at the show to discuss how inkjet technology is changing what is possible in coding and marking for fast-moving packaging lines, and surpassing the stronger expectations around 2D barcode quality and consistency.
