Stella Ondimu has been announced as the new head of Tetra Pak South Africa Communications. This is in addition to her existing role as head of communications for Tetra Pak East Africa.
Ondimu has been responsible for Tetra Pak communications in East Africa operating out of Nairobi for the past two and a half years. She has previously held various strategic communication roles in organisations that range from government to private sector and diplomatic across sub-Saharan Africa.
Ondimu brings more than 18 years of communications, public relations, governance and public affairs as well as media relations industry experience. ‘Essential to my communications strategy is engaging local stakeholders to inform our local, regional, and global audiences of key developments as they occur,’ said Ondimu. ‘These communications are paramount to align stakeholders around business strategies and developments in order to ensure requisite support for the various initiatives in the cluster.’
Ondimu said Tetra Pak, which this year celebrates 60 years in South Africa, is currently focused on supporting faster delivery for customers, greater uptime, lower costs and greater convenience. The company is also delivering the quality and innovation customers need to navigate the challenges of the burgeoning African market in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
