Print finishing machine manufacturer Horizon Japan recognises the added value of offering Tech-ni-Fold’s creasing technology and other leading tooling solutions as it seeks to become a complete solutions provider to its Japanese customer base.
As such, Tech-ni-Fold Ltd – distributed in South Africa by Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) – has announced the appointment of Horizon as the sole distributor in Japan of its unique creasing, micro-perforating and cutting solutions – compatible with all of the world’s leading makes and models of folding, stitching and binding machines.
With over 110,000 unit sales of its Tri-Creaser technology alone recorded worldwide in its 21 year history, Tech-ni-Fold’s technology and expertise has long been recognised by many of the leading global machine manufacturers in the industry.
Tech-ni-Fold’s ‘sophisticated value-added solutions can satisfy customers in Japan who always require high quality products’, commented Susumu Miyazaki, Managing Director of Horizon Japan, Inc.
‘When you think about the very best print finishing innovators in the world, Horizon are at the very summit. That is why I am delighted with this exciting collaboration. I can’t wait to see how the combination of our technologies impact in the Japanese domestic market,’ commented Tech-ni-Fold Director and Tri-Creaser Innovator, Graham Harris.
Fibre-cracking is a problem well-known by printers and print finishers all around the world, affecting heavily printed thick paper and card stocks at the folding stage. Tech-ni-Fold’s Tri-Creaser is the world’s first and only rotary retro-fit creasing solution proven to quickly and easily eliminate the fibre-cracking effect by its patented softer creasing application.
The Tri-Creaser has proven time and again to instantly and dramatically save countless hours and many thousands in bindery production costs. ‘This new cooperation encourages Horizon Japan to jump to the first stage as a solutions provider. We can have many opportunities to provide Tech-ni-Fold’s new solutions to Horizon customers,’ continued Miyazaki.
In addition to offering solutions for Horizon machinery such as their Stitch-Liner and BQ-Binder range of machines, Horizon Japan commit to expanding their reach to offer the Tech-ni-Fold solutions compatible with other manufacturers machines, such as Heidelberg/Stahl, MBO, Müller Martini and more into the Japanese market.
