The Sol Plaatje Institute for Media Leadership, Rhodes University, South Africa, is inviting interested delegates to one of their high-level media management short courses.
The institute is running a five-day media management course for print media managers, including those who are in their mid-careers and are in charge of even a few people and could later on move up the corporate ladder. The course will be held from 9-13 March 2015.
This intensive, five-day training programme includes the following sessions:
-Managing the Team.
-Marketing, Advertising and Branding; Strategic Planning.
-Editorial Independence and Media Ethics.
-Managing the Budget.
Sessions are led by industry experts. They do offer the option of running the course in-house at your organisation which would eliminate the cost of travel, accommodation and other amenities for participants. An in-house course would only take place if there are more than 16 participants.
The institute’s courses emphasise interactive classroom learning and knowledge sharing, and represent a very useful platform to network with managers and organisations spanning across the African continent. They pride themselves in being Africa’s only university-level media leadership training institute. All their short courses are fully certified and accredited on the National Qualifications Framework at Level 6/7.
