Scodix Metallic will receive its first InterTech Technology Award at the 2013 Premier Print Awards and InterTech Technology Awards Gala on the 8th of September this year in Chicago.
This award is given to companies that possess technological innovation and excellence in the commercial printing industry.
Scodix Metallic is a digital process that allows service providers and their customers to enhance their prints with metallic colouring by simply utilising the CMYK colour process via the Scodix SENSE digital press, an all in a digital one- pass print process. The process offerers a cost effective and efficient way to produce high quality metallic effects using a completely digital printing process.
Dr. Mark Bohan, Vice President of Technology, Research and Printing Industries of America noted that the judges were especially astonished by the technology’s potential for high end packaging and marketing applications, and how print differentiates itself with this technology.
The judges were impressed with the quality of the samples and how Scodix enables the service providers to easily differentiate their prints together with their operations, by making projects come alive, Bohan concluded.
