Printing SA has announced a new appointment and promotions within its organisation, including Geoff Warren being appointed as operations director; the promotion of Jermaine Naicker from labour consultant to KZN regional chamber manager and the promotion of Susan Peterson from member consultant to acting Cape chamber manager.

Geoff Warren

Warren has decades of experience within the printing industry. The new role will make him responsible for the management of all national operations for Printing SA. Warren graduated from Rhodes University, and is registered as a human resources practitioner.

His previous experience within the industry is immense, having been involved in the printing and packaging industry since 1989, where he was the human resources director for Metal Box Liquid Packaging Division. He then went on to join Printing SA in 2000 as chamber director for the KwaZulu-Natal chamber of Printing SA.

On the rare occasions when Warren does have time off, he enjoys fishing, playing a little golf and loves walking his dogs. His dream is to see Printing SA continue to re-invent itself and to remain an organisation that supports businesses within the printing, packaging and signage industry.

Jermaine Naicker

Having grown up and completed his school career in Phoenix, Naicker went on to graduate from Durban University of Technology in human resources management. After completion of the undergraduate programme, he then enrolled for a post graduate degree in the same field at DUT.

His career began in the retail space, where he was employed through a graduate programme. Upon completion, he was then promoted to human resources administrator and in the same year was again promoted to that of human resources business partner.

2016 began his introduction to the printing and packaging industry after joining Printing SA in the KZN chamber as membership services consultant. There he discovered an industry larger than he ever anticipated.

He believes his secret to success is his strong work ethic, the hunger to learn and keep abreast of trends, always looking at the bigger picture and being goal orientated. When not working, he loves playing sport, particularly indoor soccer, some cricket and loves spending time with his wife. He is also an avid musician and loves to learn new pieces of music on various musical instruments.

His advice to anyone starting out in the printing industry is to start small, dream big, but never stop learning in your pursuit of achieving your goals.

Susan Petersen

Peterson holds a certificate and diploma in business management as well as a bachelor of commerce human resources degree from Mancosa.

Her previous employment history includes that of working at McCarthy Automotive Artisan Academy as technical training administration assistant, as well as being a national training and development administrator at Eqstra Holdings.

When Peterson is not at work, she loves nothing more than spending time with her daughter and participating together with her offspring in fun runs to stay fit. She also appreciates the outdoors and loves reading autobiographies, as well books that are intellectual and thought-provoking.
