Print Island And Printing United Alliance Announce New Initiative

Print Island announced a new Alliance Communications Initiative with PRINTING United Alliance, North America’s printing trade association. Print Island, a fast-growing print media platform and the channel that identifies itself as the Spotify for Print, may only be a baby in terms of its age, but it is already making noise across the global print industry.

The initiative will see Print Island develop and deliver a structured, ongoing communications programme designed to amplify awareness and engagement across the Alliance’s most important member-facing offerings.

‘This is a further sign that what we are trying to do with Print Island is becoming hugely important to the industry in getting their message across to the next generation of printers. Print Island’s goal to become the Spotify for Print is working,’ said Rich Askam, co-founder, Print Island.

PRINTING United Alliance produces PRINTING United Expo, which draws tens of thousands of visitors annually to North America from around the world. The event covers apparel, general commercial print, wide format, signage and display, labels and packaging, in-plant, and so much more. In 2025, it introduced its first PRINTING AI pavilion, addressing essential AI topics for modern print shops. Beyond the trade show its elf, PRINTING United Alliance delivers award-winning products and services that create real value for members.

This partnership reflects its commitment to educating, nurturing, and developing the industry and its people, helping navigate an ever-changing and economically turbulent landscape.

The initiative will deliver consistent, structured programming across multiple pillars to printers around the world, including, but not limited to:

iLEARNING+

With dozens of the industry’s best e-learning courses and certifications, iLEARNING+ is the most comprehensive education product in printing. Print Island will help connect a wider audience of professionals with the platform, whether they are building credentials, mastering new skills, or breaking into the industry for the first time.

G7+ Certification

G7+ Expert Certification is the industry standard for consistent colour reproduction and print quality. Print Island will communicate the value of certification to print professionals, helping them understand the direct impact on production efficiency, cost savings, customer satisfaction, and alignment with global print standards.

Printing AI

Artificial intelligence is transforming every sector, and print is no exception. Print Island will support the Alliance in communicating its suite of AI solutions, assessment services, and adoption guidance to members looking to harness the shift and stay ahead of the curve.

‘We are excited to be working with Print Island, a new and influential voice in the printing industry that continues to highlight the growing appetite among printers to expand their knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies,’ said Ford Bowers, CEO, PRINTING United Alliance. ‘Building on our increasing collaboration through areas like the expo, the Alliance is pleased to amplify its extensive solutions through Print Island’s platform that help PSPs learn and move their businesses forward with relevant programmes and services suited to today’s evolving landscape.’
