Minuteman Press Germiston added a RISO GD9630 inkjet printer, purchased from Altron Document Solutions (ADS), to its business. The purchase, made last year, effectively replaces Minuteman Press’s offset litho printer. Minuteman Press also have a Xerox Primelink B9100 and Xerox Versant 180. This is the first Minuteman Press branch to purchase a RISO printer from ADS.
Regardless of the number and types of images or volume of text, full-colour images remain true to the original with the GD 9630. For text-intensive documents, words remain crisp and easy to read. Super high-speed printing and single-pass full-colour printing of up to 160 letter size long-edge feed colour pages per minute, with fast-drying oil-based pigment ink, is possible through a unique print engine configured with static inline inkjet heads arranged in parallel. Transactional prints, transpromotional materials, invoices and other routine business documents are also fast.
The Xerox® PrimeLink® B9100 Series, a black and white MFP with support for 330 x 660mm banner printing, features walk-up simplicity and production-level capability in one compact device and is reliable with exceptional image quality.
Other features include: feeding, finishing, and Digital Front End options to fit every print environment, as well as a wealth of production-friendly, office-ready features including workflow apps and built-in security.
The Versant 180 offers automation and quality in a compact footprint and delivers on speed and productivity at 80ppm and an average monthly volume of 80,000 pages. It prints on a variety of media types, including coated and uncoated papers, bright papers, labels, business cards, glossy brochures, window decals, durable and synthetic papers, greeting cards, tabs, embossed substrates, polyesters and custom solutions, and it also supports mixed-stock jobs.
John de Beer, ADS national account manager focusing on the Minuteman Group, added that the 180 model can be upgraded with the Xerox Adaptive CMYK+ Kit for Xerox Versant, the print market’s first adaptive technology kit that adds seven specialty colours to an existing production press, enabling instant digital print enhancements. The kit transforms a four-colour Xerox Versant® 180 Press into an 11-colour Beyond CMYK press capable of creating a million colour hues and shades by adding gold, silver, white, clear and fluorescent colours of yellow, magenta and cyan. The press offers variable data printing and in-line numbering, and can print on no carbon required (NCR) carbon sheets for books.
