Kongsberg Showcasing Packaging Solution

Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (Kongsberg PCS) will demonstrate how its flagship Kongsberg C Series digital cutting table can simplify any packaging job while also bringing designs to life.

The company will underline the importance of automation for efficient packaging production in the future, when it showcases the power, performance and versatility of its digital finishing solutions at All4Pack Paris next month.

‘Although we’ve had a presence at All4Pack in previous years, this is our first time here as a standalone company,’ said Wim Brunsting EMEA Sales Director for Kongsberg PCS. ‘With the impressive Kongsberg C24 at the heart of our display, we will be showcasing how the digital finishing table and tooling options enable businesses to streamline workflows and automate production to boost efficiency, while empowering designers and operators with the creative freedom to generate the ideas that will drive the future of their company.’

Brunsting said that the Kongsberg PCS team will demonstrate how complexity in finishing is a thing of the past. ‘Automation is easy with the Kongsberg C24,’ he said. ‘Like all in the C series, it can be automated for material handling, minimising human error and improving efficiency and productivity. We have combined more than 50 years of technical expertise and innovation to deliver digital solutions that can handle even the toughest materials while delivering unerring precision.’

The Kongsberg C24 combines a steel tabletop with aluminum honeycomb core, a rack and pinion drive system and dynamic table mapping to deliver the greatest cutting accuracy and consistency. A maximum speed of 100m/min (66 in/sec) and acceleration up to 1.7G, combined with quick and precise tool movements, makes high quality digital production possible, even under the tightest deadlines.

‘We’ll also demonstrate to visitors how a range of innovative Kongsberg tooling and automation delivers new freedoms in design and creativity,’ said Brunsting. ‘We’re particularly looking forward to showcasing our amazing VariAngle tool – a breakthrough innovation for the industry that enables cutting at any angle from 0 degrees to 60 degrees at up to 100m/min. Delivering total freedom in the design of 3D creative displays, it completely removes the need to stop production when changing tools, drastically reducing setup times and increasing cutting speeds.

‘As well as the live demos on the booth, we’ll have screens highlighting the huge range of tools designed to make specific jobs simple and to deliver quality results with the speed and accuracy demanded in today’s market.’
