Komoris innovative and successfully introduced H-UV curing drying system was awarded the 2nd prize In the category ‘Technology Druck’. This is the third time within one year in which the drying system has won awards. Companies with the system are profiting from reduced paper waste and ink usage, lower use of energy, fewer man hours and, because of the H-UV system’s quick drying, the elimination of spray powder and no marking.

Print Stars 2011 winners were awarded with ‘The Innovation Prize of the
German Printing Industry in front of a record 430 guests at the annual
ceremony which took place at the Culture and Congress Hall in Stuttgart,
Germany. The organisation received more than 373 submissions from in
excess of 900 participating companies.  Prizes were announced in 13
categories with four special prizes.

The outstanding improvement in drying time coupled with higher printing
quality on various substrates has previously led to awards in the USA
and Japan –  now Europe -where more printers are quickly becoming
enthusiastic about the Komori-developed H-UV system.

In August 2011, Komori America won the first prize in America’s
InterTech™ Technology Award for H-UV Technology and in February this
year, the Japanese printing industry, organised by the Japanese Society
of Printing Science and Technology, presented Komori Corporation with
the coveted Technical Award for the system.
