‘One of the main benefits of the machine is that we’ve basically doubled our capacity,’ said Ren-Flex’s Managing Director Dwayne du Sart. ‘We’re also adding new products to the range for Ren-Flex with this machine.’
‘We will be going into flexible packaging, pouches, bags, that sort of thing, and we’re also going to increase our capacity for in-mould labels.’
Kemtek’s Carl Zerle, head of digital sales, print division, outlined the machine’s flexibility in terms of media on which it can run, seven colour stations with spot colours, security features, frame size and IRP unit to treat the material. ‘You can print any sort of media that you can pre-coat on a press, it doesn’t have to be flexible packaging, it can do cardboard and labels too, it’s very versatile.’
