Heidelberg Exceeds 100 Prinect Production Manager Installations Worldwide

Released in drupa 2016, Prinect Production Manager allows print shops of all sizes access to every integration function of the Prinect production workflow without having to purchase individual licenses. Heidelberg has announced that it has reached over 100 worldwide installations of Prinect Production Manager.

The new subscription business model offers a cost effective solution and simplified approach towards enabling end-to-end workflow automation and achieving optimal productivity. ‘A print shop’s business success is increasingly determined by how efficiently it handles data. By creating the ideal conditions for this, the Prinect workflow forms the backbone of the Smart Print Shop showcased by Heidelberg at the last drupa,’ explained Jürgen Grimm, head of software solutions at Heidelberg.

As a central platform, Prinect seamlessly integrates all the steps involved in print production into consistent processes, from the customer contact through to the finished product and billing. Whether users produce with toner, inkjet or printing plates, Prinect offers a comprehensive solution under one workflow. No matter where the customers want to extend its business, Prinect has a solution for Commercial, Packaging and Label.

Heidelberg is planning to gradually further extend its portfolio of cloud-based solutions. The vision is a cloud-based ecosystem that enables customers to combine modules according to their needs. Some 25,000 Prinect modules are already linked to the Heidelberg cloud. The resulting wealth of data is used to develop software solutions for further boosting productivity.
