Johannesburg-based Collage Litho has acquired a new Polar 115 X Plus with two stack lifters and an Auto Jogger. Polar promises uncompromising reliability, first class service, maximum security, operator friendly layout and high resale value. Polar high-speed cutters are the core component in finishing work.

The company specialises in anything from leaflets to multi colour brochures, from financial reports to business cards as well as multi part carbonless forms to posters. The factory is under constant humidity and temperature control and houses exceptional equipment to ensure consistent, high quality products every time.

We run 12 hour shifts on our presses 24 hours a day and 12 hour shifts in the bindery and finishing division. With the Polar, we deliver in quiet time about 100 jobs and in peak time, 200 jobs on a daily basis, hence the amount of cutting we do, said Production Director, Allan Moolman, who runs the entire production from presses to finishing with assistance of managers.

We have an eight year old Polar 115 and a fairly old Polar 92 EM, with which we have had no problems with, hence sticking with the brand we know, mostly for its reliability, easy maintenance and all over solid performance, said Moolman.

This past week, the productivity on the new machine has increased about 25% which is a dream come true for Collage Litho. The machine is saving us a life time. We combined the 115 with the jogger to create a much better workflow process, he added.

The features of the Polar 115 X Plus is that it comes equipped with comprehensive materials handling including stack lift, jogging tables, Transomat downloader and weighing scales. It belongs to one of the most sold high-speed cutters from Polar and is employed for the accurate cutting of all sorts of substrates such as paper, card board, chip board and plastic foils, which is optimal for all the rental and retail work as well as point of sale materials that Collage Litho does.
