Canon has launched the Océ ColorStream 3000 Z series, a high speed commercial inkjet printing system that provides class-leading productivity where a smaller footprint is needed or support for stacked paper is desired.

The Océ ColorStream 3000 Z series aims to provide the quality and versatility of the popular ColorStream 3000 range with a modified design to suit a smaller environment not normally suitable for high-volume inkjet installations. The range comprises four systems, ranging from 48 to 127 metres per minute, for an equivalent productivity of 324 to 1714 A4 pages per minute, while using around 30 per cent less floor space.

The Océ ColorStream 3000 Z is designed to be the slimmest high volume full colour continuous feed inkjet system on the market. Its built-in simplex Z-fold stacking functionality further reduces space impact, and supports stacks of up to 300mm for a wide range of applications, including high-speed monochrome imprinting.

The range includes the standard Océ ColorStream features, including Océ HeadSafe and InkSafe technology, designed to minimise ink and paper wastage and maximise print quality.

Jimmy de Waal, Production Print Product Manager, Business Imaging Group Canon South Africa said, ‘The Océ ColorStream range is famous all over the world for delivering outstanding quality at high speed and with high reliability. The Océ ColorStream 3000 Z series brings this fantastic proposition to businesses with a restriction on space, making it possible to run a viable inkjet printing workflow where it wasn’t physically possible before.

This makes it easier for businesses to provide these services closer to city centres, or complement existing print systems without having to spend money on expanding their sites.’
