Bytes Document Solutions (BDS) recently hosted the ‘Golden Globe Awards’ to acknowledge business partners and employees who have exceeded their targets and achieved levels of sales performance that have helped to make the organisation great over the last five decades. Victoria Computer Services (VCS), Digilogix and Cape Office Machines were the companies that were acknowledged.

VCS
Seychelles-based company VCS won the coveted Africa Operations Distributor of the Year award. The award celebrates VCS’s outstanding achievements in Xerox sales growth, services and innovation in the Seychelles.

VCS has provided a wide range of solutions to local and international companies in the Seychelles for more than two decades. VCS won the Africa Operations Partner of the Year as a result of the company substantially exceeding its annual target, demonstrating impressive growth against the previous year’s figures, and driving overall improvement in sales and customer service.

Stephen Faure, Xerox business solutions manager at VCS said, ‘This prestigious award will help VCS to promote the Xerox brand in the Seychelles. It shows clearly that Xerox is gaining market share in the Seychelles and is growing much faster than its competitors in the marketplace. That’s because we recognise the importance of helping customers choose the right technology and enjoy high quality support.’

Growing its business in Africa remains a key part of the growth strategy for BDS. The organisation’s twenty six distributors across the continent have a key role to play in ensuring that customers have greater access to Xerox products and that they are able to receive the levels of service for which Xerox is renowned worldwide.

‘We congratulate Stephen Faure and his team and we are proud to have an African partner with such an excellent track record in the Xerox space,’ said Craig Schweitzer, General Manager for Africa Operations at BDS. ‘We have worked with VCS since 2001 and this strategic partnership has taken the potential for Xerox business in this region to the next level. VCS has clearly demonstrated its commitment to providing superior solutions and support for Xerox customers. This award also confirms the dedication and commitment of the VCS team.’

Digilogix:

Johannesburg-based Digilogix supplies copiers and printers and is also a managed print services provider. It was awarded with the Concessionaire of the Year Award for 2013. The award is based on several aspects, such as business growth and the number of units supplied to market.

Ronnie Oeschger, divisional director of Xerox Indirect Channels at BDS said, ‘Digilogix has proved to be an exceptional concessionaire. The company’s achievements have been outstanding, and we want to congratulate Gavin Burton, Nick Southon and their teams for the great results achieved. Digilogix is a very worthy recipient of this award and this is the third time that the company has won this award since it became a concessionaire back in 2002.’

Oeschger said that partnerships with concessionaires are a key part of BDS’ strategy to develop a strong indirect Xerox channel network and expand Xerox’s footprint in the country. ‘These partnerships enable us to lead the way in supporting the needs of customers in the growing document services market, to capture and capitalise on the market opportunity, and help generate more revenue. Concessionaires have access to a full and exclusive range of sales, marketing and business support tools and services.’

Concessionaire accreditation gives companies the closest-possible partner relationship with Xerox, the use of the Xerox brand, one of the widest ranges of products on the market, and advanced training and support from the Xerox team at Bytes Document Solutions.

Cape Office Machines

Stellenbosch-based Cape Office Machines won Prestigious Dealer of the Year Award from Xerox distributor BDS.

Ronnie Oeschger, divisional director of Xerox Indirect Channels of BDS said, ‘We are delighted with Cape Office Machines’ achievement and its contribution to the Xerox brand. Cape Office Machines marks its thirty second year of operations. The company’s dedication and commitment to our business has been unwavering since 1982 when it opened its doors as the first Authorised Xerox Dealer in South Africa. The focus of this family-managed business has always been on building sustainable, long-term relationships with its clients. We value our longstanding relationship with the company and congratulate Edgar and Marco Ortelee and their teams for the excellent level of service they provide to Xerox customers.’

‘We have an open-door policy here,’ said Ortelee. ‘Whether it’s an existing client with a query, or a prospective client who is thinking of using our services, everyone is welcome to come around for a cup of coffee and a chat about their needs. It is that level of customer service that has built our business into what it is today. We are exceptionally proud to have won this prestigious award in recognition of the work we do.’
