Barbieri Introduces SpectroPad DigiPress

Barbieri electronic introduced the brand new SpectroPad DigiPress at drupa 2016 (31 May-10 June). This new SpectroPad version meets the special needs of digital presses.

It is the ideal tool to keep the digital printing process under control. Within seconds, the operator can check colour accuracy (against industry standards), colour repeatability and spot colours. The ability to store colour libraries as well as create recall custom spot colour libraries, make it extremely flexible and versatile. Moreover, it can be used for calibration of digital printers. It works according to and complies with industry standards in place.

The Spectropad is based on Barbieri ‘qb-technology’ with real D50 illumination. It fully matches the measurement condition M1 introduced with the ISO standard 13655-2009 (additionally M0 and M2).

The touch display makes the operation and job selection a breeze. The measurement results will be displayed immediately or can be sent through WiFi or USB to the computer for further processing. The SpectroPad is wireless, battery powered and has an award-winning design (iF product design award).

Application fields for SpectroPad DigiPress:
• Process control for digital presses according to ISO 12647-7 and Fogra PSD. Supports Ugra/Fogra, Idealliance and Barbieri DOC.
• Accuracy check (colour fidelity).
•Repeatability check (colour stability).
• Single measurements of spot colours with subsequent check for colour true printing.
• Calibration.
• Image quality evaluations (homogeneity on the print according to Fogra M-Score).
