The TrojanThree overprinting system can be mounted in any host system that runs at speeds of up to 18 metres per minute. It enables high quality four-colour printing on all materials with an absorbent surface, such as most kinds of uncoated papers and cardboards or materials that are pre-treated for aqueous inkjet printing. The system was exhibited at the Africa Print Expo, which took place at Gallagher Convention Centre from 13-15 September. 

The flexibility of the overprinting system means that it can be used to print on flat objects such as unfolded boxes or labels, thick objects like blister envelopes and wooden planks or even folded boxes ready for shipment.

The company also exhibited the TrojanTwo, an affordable mini digital label press that has the characteristics of larger and more expensive systems. The press will run at 18m/min and up to 1600 x 1600dpi. With sophisticated algorithms and a self-maintaining system, it will be able to run larger volumes and maintain high print quality. 

Uchida models were also featured on the stand, including: 
– Uchida AeroCut One: a professional slitter/cutter/creaser that is an ideal solution for finishing medium to long run digitally printed applications, such as business cards, postcards, invitations, greeting cards, pamphlets/leaflets, tickets and more.
– Uchida collator UC-1200: efficiently collates a wide variety of papers. The centre feed system eliminates the need to re-position the sheets every time the paper size is changed. It is suitable for applications such as NCR books, booklets and more
– Uchida EZF-600: features paper feed pressure and separator pressure adjustment; automatic feed table elevation and delivery roll setting. An optional device allows the machine to perforate, score and split papers. 
– Uchida EZF-200: accommodates roller and belt delivery and quick release rollers. Thick paper mode gives bigger folding impact to papers and the error map and error codes make it easier to clear jammed paper.
