OPTIMUS AFRICA LAUNCHED

Optimus has opened its own company in South Africa, called Optimus Africa. The company has been increasingly aware that many print companies in a wide variety of sectors are demanding more sophisticated functionality from their MIS systems and the company is renowned for meeting the needs of all print sectors.

Optimus has been supplying Optimus Management Information Systems to South Africa for over 25 years. Previously this has been through an appointed distributor and agent.

Nicola Bisset, Group Managing Director said, ‘South Africa is an incredibly important market and it is also a gateway into the African Continent. We have seen such an increase in demand for Optimus Management Information Systems and in particular since the launch of Optimus dash last year, that we felt the time was right to launch our own company.

There is also an increasing demand for integration between MIS and workflow solutions and these projects require expert personnel and committed and dedicated local support which Optimus can now provide with Optimus Africa’.

Nicola Bisset takes the position of CEO with Colin Garde as Managing Director, Jason Garde as Operations Director and Tracy Savage is in charge of Sales and Marketing.

Colin Garde said, ‘Since the inception of Optimus Africa in August, we have already received two new customers – RBE Stationary and IPS Finishers – both having purchased full Optimus dash systems. With the extraordinary amount of interest in Optimus dash at the recent Africa Print expo, I am looking forward to welcoming more new customers in the coming months.
