Workflowz Ltd demonstrated CHILI Publisher, the online document editing software, for the first time to the South African market at the Africa Print Expo, which took place from 21-23 August at the Sandton Convention Centre. The company also showcased exciting enhancements in the soon-to-be-released version of Metrix.
CHILI Publisher version 3.5 features a number of enhancements, including improvements to the 3D visualisation function, additional support for PDF/VT, and extended typographic control, including horizontal text scaling. For those who may be unfamiliar with the software, there is much more to discover during demonstrations.
CHILI Publisher is a flexible, online document editing solution that integrates seamlessly and transparently within a wide range of workflows and production platforms. It was built on four core principles: flexibility for ease of customisation; open architecture with API toolkits; consistency across platforms, browsers, and different systems; and a browser-based interface for the easiest possible access.
Workflowz Ltd was one of the initial distributors of CHILI Publisher and has worked closely with the developer from the beginning. Their regional experience and widespread dealer network have proven invaluable in reaching new markets and sectors, as well as getting the product to market quickly. Workflowz represents CHILI Publish in the Oceania region and South Africa, in addition to their original market in the UK.
Alan Dixon, CEO, Workflowz Ltd said, Building on the momentum we’ve established through other shows and events, Africa Print offered a great opportunity to demonstrate CHILI Publishers powerful and easy-to-use solution to a vibrant market. We also used the Expo as a launch pad to show off the soon to be released new version of Metrix. I think existing users will be thrilled with the modifications made in this latest version and it will increase the appeal to those considering adding Metrix to their process.
Metrix works well for ganging web2print items, and fits nicely alongside other products from the Workflowz portfolio – such as Chili Publisher and links seamlessly with Tharsterns MIS and job Ganging modules.
