Lowveld Office Automation, the authorised Xerox dealer in Nelspruit, has sold a Colour J75 Press to long-standing customer White River Printers. The sale was announced at a press conference held by Xerox at the Africa Print Expo in Nelspruit on 12 February.

White River Printers, which is based in Nelspruit, is one of the largest printing shops in the Lowveld and the company offers digital and litho printing services as well as UV varnishing, die-cutting, foiling, embossing and laminating.

‘When we were researching which machines to buy and making comparisons with other products, we heard only good reviews about Xerox’s products. We bought this machine to take our business to the next level. EFI’s colour management is one of the major reasons we purchased the machine because customers are very picky about colour. The speed of the machine also helps us to keep up with market and customer demands,’ said Lyle Robinson, Owner, White River Printers.

‘We greatly appreciate the long-standing relationship we’ve enjoyed with White River Printers. The company upgraded from their first DocuColor 5000 Press that they purchased almost five years ago. They have had a great experience with the DC5000 and the technical support they receive from Lowveld Office Automation. After conducting exhaustive research of similar products on the market, they were happy to invest in the new J75. The advanced features of the printer also provides them with additional capabilities to expand their services to clients and thus grow their business by producing more jobs,’ said Paul Haglich, Marketing Manager for Production Systems at Bytes Document Solutions.

The Xerox Colour J75 Press makes it easy to start, or expand, a digital printing business. It can run up to 76ipm (A4) on uncoated stocks and up to 300gsm coated, auto-perfect, and also features inline stapling, punching and saddle stitching finishing, opening up new opportunities to produce more profitable jobs. The press’s advanced scanning and copying features provide workflow efficiencies, a plus for businesses entering the digital marketplace.

For commercial print shops producing high-volume, high-value applications, the Xerox Colour J75 offers additional productivity, running all paper stocks, including heavyweight up to 300gsm, at full rated speed – 76 images per minute (ipm). It can easily match corporate and industry colours with Xerox’s Automated Colour Quality Suite (ACQS). With ACQS’ inline spectrophotometer and colour management tools, accurate, reliable colour can be achieved with minimal operator involvement. This advanced technology ensures that the J75 maintains consistent image quality automatically, no matter the length of the print runs.
