VR Print Ventures Into Digital Printing With Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+

VR Print will introduce digital to its Durban-based production facility with a new Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ press, following a deal signed at Labelexpo, and based on the demand for shorter runs.

‘This is our first venture into digital printing, a clear choice with the rising demand for short run,’ explained VR Print managing director Hilton van Rensburg, ‘but we didn’t want our customers to see a reduction in print quality. We’ve selected the Screen press based on the outstanding samples we’ve seen, and because it’s a highly productive press.’

The sale represents the third label press Screen has sold to South Africa, a significant market according to Bui Burke, Screen Europe senior vice president sales. He commented, ‘We’re excited to be working with VR Print and be chosen for their entrance into digital. South Africa is traditionally a strong area for Screen so we’re delighted to maintain that momentum with our label presses. This sale also represents our fourth sale of the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ in quick succession – it’s fantastic to see the press having such an impact on the market in such a short space of time.’
