Uniprint Invests In Helios S Inspection Solution

Rotocon sold AVT’s advanced Helios S inspection solution with two WorkFlow Links to Uniprint for integration with two of their slitter rewinders. The order was led by Pascal Aengenvoort, sales director of Rotocon.
 
Helios S is an automatic inspection system delivering 100% quality assurance. The user-friendly design deploys dedicated, advanced algorithms designed to detect any type of defect, including colour mis-register, colour variations, misprints, text errors, spots, splashes, die-cut problems, barcode problems and missing labels. The system works seamlessly on any substrate, including self-adhesive labels, thick embossed metalised substrates, highly-reflective holographic foils and laminates.

Also ordered by Uniprint were two WorkFlow Links, an optional add-on module for Helios S that uses information recorded on press to automatically stop a rewinder, avoiding unnecessary stops on non-defective products and significantly improving overall production efficiency.  

Prior to the purchase of the AVT Helios S, Lorne Andersen, production and technical manager at Uniprint, joined Pascal Aengenvoort on a reference visit to a leading label printer in Germany to evaluate the AVT system in a live production environment. Based on that visit, return of investment evaluation, world-wide market adoption of Helios S, and local support by Rotocon, Uniprint opted for AVT.
