Trisave have installed an iECHO PK0705 Plus digital die cutter/sample maker, which the company launched in January 2021. Cape Town-based TopCopy challenged Trisave to install the machine for a three month trial period to see what it is capable of in a production environment.
The challenge was accepted and the machine was delivered and installed within 24 hours. Training was completed within a couple of hours as the operator was knowledgeable and had experience with cutting plotters.
‘During the three month trial period, we had no idea what jobs would be thrown at us and it turned out to be an interesting and successful learning curve for everyone,’ said Trisave managing director Dirk Pieper.
‘There is a lot of interest in the digital die cutter and fortunately we could show the installation at TopCopy to a number of interested parties. The positive feedback we got from TopCopy has resulted in a number of orders, for which we are grateful.’
The iECHO flatbed digital die cutter is suitable for sample making and for short to medium-run self-adhesive labels and/or packaging. The cutting head includes two graphic tools, a creasing tool and the ‘Plus’ model comes with an oscillating tool that can process harder and thicker materials of up to 6mm maximum thickness.
