Marketing and design agency RW Communications is entering into the digital printing market with Itecs new colour production printing solution, the Itec Press C8000 high-speed colour digital press.

The company, which produces a range of print communications for businesses and government, decided to invest in a second production printer to support the growth of its business when it moved to new premises. It opted for Itec Central as the supplier of the new unit based on the presales service and support it offered.

The press offers high-quality prints that rival offset
printing. With an output of 80 pages per minute and a monthly duty cycle
of 300000 pages, this is a unit equal to the demands of the most
robust production printing environments. The C8000 allows finishing to
be done inline, with booklets collated and saddle stitched while they
are being printed for professional finishes in record time. RW
Communications is printing large volumes of booklets and their print
volumes are growing each month.

As a provider of print solutions to the corporate market, high-quality printing backed up by responsive service is our major selling point. With the move towards digital printing we wanted a new device that would enable us to print large volumes on demand with no compromise to quality, said Roger Warries, owner of RW Communications.

We believe in digital and we are actively encouraging our clients to print documents like business cards and marketing collateral on demand rather than printing in huge volumes. This saves them money on wastage, reduces costs of litho positives and plates, and offers faster turnaround times for print jobs. The Itec Central solution supports the print output and quality we need to be able to handle large volumes of on demand printing.

Itec Central’s powerful support infrastructure is backed up by value-added tools such as Itec Sentry, a software solution that reduces the need for user intervention and boosts system uptime by automating a number of key processes and tasks in the print environment.

It automates the reporting of many common service and maintenance issues of document output devices (including printers, copiers, and MFPs). Thanks to Sentry, Itec knows nearly instantly when your print infrastructure needs intervention, without you needing to pick the phone up and order consumables or report a fault.

Shannon De Pern Saint, account manager at Itec Central, says that innovative production printing companies such as RW Communications are starting to embrace digital printing as a way of enhancing their revenues and offering their clients more convenience and flexibility.
