The Komori Corporation installed its first J-throne 29 next-generation digital press in North America at 1Vision’s Houston, Texas, facility. The addition of the J-throne 29 underscores the company’s commitment to delivering faster turnarounds, versatility and operational efficiency to its clients.
A long-time Komori customer known for its approach to commercial printing and direct mail, 1Vision continues to expand its technological leadership with this strategic investment.
‘Komori has been a great partner of 1Vision over the last seven years. We had a great demo of the machine at the Komori Japan Factory and felt there was potential for it to be incorporated into the 1Vision business model,’ said Allen Taheri, 1Vision CEO and Owner. ‘This press aligns perfectly with our vision for growth in the digital print segment, offering additional productivity and flexibility with the B2+ sheet size.’
The J-throne 29 offers a high-speed output of 6000 sheets per hour, a B2+ sheet size, LED UV instant curing for energy efficiency and rapid finishing, a newly formulated ink system delivering a wide colour gamut and vibrant reproductions, and enhanced operability and remote maintenance via Komori’s KP-Connect platform.
‘1Vision’s investment in the J-throne 29 reflects the growing demand for digital solutions that don’t compromise on speed or quality,’ said Mark Milbourn, Executive Vice-President of Sales and Service at Komori America. ‘We’re proud to deepen our relationship with 1Vision and to mark this milestone together.’
The J-throne 29 blends offset-grade performance with digital flexibility, positioning it as a complementary solution for commercial, direct mail, packaging and speciality print providers.
