HP announced the Indigo 5r and 7r digital presses during the fifth EMEA Dscoop event, taking place in Tel Aviv, Israel from 5-7 April 2016.
The HP Indigo 7r Digital Press is enabled with HP Indigo’s liquid ElectroInk technology and unique digital offset process. HP Indigo prints are of the highest quality, they match or even exceed offset, allowing them to be used interchangeably.
It has up to seven on-press ink stations that enable the use of HP Indigo’s wide digital colour gamut, including special effect inks; four, six or seven process colours for vivid printing and accurate on-press Pantone emulations as well as true spot colours, mixed off press, for outstanding Pantone-approved solids. The press is compatible with more than 2500 certified substrates, the widest choice in the industry, and prints on a range of uncoated and coated papers and recycled and other eco-friendly papers.
HP Indigo 5r digital press can be enhanced with One Shot technology for printing on synthetics, metallised and canvas substrates for plastic card and specialty applications. One can make applications that stand out with HP Indigo ElectroInk White on black, coloured and transparent substrates. HP Indigo ElectroInk Fluorescent Pink delivers high impact and allows for the creation of unlimited designs with HP SmartStream Mosaic.
It can print on the industry’s widest media range, including coated and uncoated papers, in addition to dark, transparent, and recycled media. The optional Thick Substrate Kit 550 enables printing on paper and synthetic substrates up to 22 pt, and the ultra thick kit on synthetics up to 24 pt. Use on-press primer to print on thick paperboards.
