Midcomp will showcase its extensive range of printing and cutting solutions at the Africa Print Johannesburg Expo, taking place from 8–10 September 2026 at Gallagher Convention Centre. Visitors can learn more about the company’s HP innovations, as well as their white ink capabilities. White ink is not simply another colour. It is another revenue stream.
Every print service provider knows the value of keeping a printer busy. Most print service providers (PSPs) do not record the jobs they cannot produce. Yet every application turned away represents potential revenue that never reaches the printer. This is the real opportunity behind HP Latex White Ink.
It is not simply an additional ink colour. It gives PSPs access to more applications, more substrates and more demanding markets, where print is judged on its effectiveness rather than compared only by price per square metre.
The following HP Latex models with white ink capabilities will be showcased:
HP Latex R530 W
The HP Latex R530 printer is the only all-in-one compact HP Latex printing solution, allowing seamless adaptation between rigid and flexible applications. It delivers consistent, high-quality output across various media types, enabling PSPs to tap into new markets and expand their print applications. With automatic recirculation and printhead cleaning, businesses can enhance uptime and reduce maintenance costs. The single-phase power system provides effortless installation in limited spaces.
HP Latex 830 W
The printer delivers stunning prints with uniform colours via precise HP Pixel Control ink mixing and distribution. Achieve consistent quality across jobs and create colour profiles with the HP embedded spectrophotomter. The machine also features speeds up to 36sqm/hr outdoor, 3-litre ink cartridges and white ink.
HP Latex 630 W P&C
The new HP Latex 630 printer series completes HP’s Latex range and makes white ink technology available to Print Service Providers (PSPs) of all sizes. White ink allows users to produce a more impactful range of signage and décor jobs with stunning image quality and colours that jump off the page, creating attention-grabbing campaigns for end-customers. The HP Latex 630 family also provides the HP Latex 630 and 630 W Print and Cut option, giving customers the option of upgrading to a dual-device solution with print and cut functionality.
HP Latex 64 Plus
With the HP Latex 64 Plus Cutting Solution, users can enable new applications and growth for business by enhancing their HP Latex printers with a unique print and cut workflow. Easily integrate this cutter/RIP solution and get accurate high-speed cutting and cut throughs.
Midcomp will also promote its PPU and PPUGRO programmes.
Pay Per Use (PPU) Programme
With this comprehensive and customised programme, users can enjoy peace of mind with no unexpected costs and subscribe to a fixed monthly cost per square metre based on their location. There is no minimum print volume required. PPU covers a user’s ink supplies, printheads, cleaning cartridges, service maintenance kits, labour and spare parts, and is an ideal solution for cost-efficient printing.
PPUGRO
Midcomp representatives will also be available to explain the benefits of the PPUGRO solution in which Midcomp offers a PPU Programme that now gives customers the option of including a printing and finishing system as well as RIP Software, consumables (excluding media), service costs and insurance charged at a predetermined variable rate per square metre that the customer prints. At the end of every month, a customer will be sent a spreadsheet detailing the jobs they have printed in that month as well as the total square metres printed. Midcomp applies the variable rate per square metre and sends a customer one invoice.
The following will also be showcased:

Summa’s professional flatbed finishing system is an award-winning solution for producing innovative signage, displays, samples, packaging applications, and more. It also features an ever-increasing arsenal of tools and optional add-ons.

Consumables
Midcomp will also showcase its range of media and textiles from renowned brands such as: Drytac vinyl, wallpaper, backlit film and floor vinyl; HP vinyl and wallpaper; Contra Vision® original one-way vision perforated window film; Palram rigid Palboard and Palfoam; Viking digital textiles, gazebo and umbrella fabric; MC Xtreme rigid range Correx and PPH; PolyXtreme, a new ABS alternative available in semi-gloss, non-reflective and prismatic finishes; BIOND bio-based, carbon-neutral films; Euro-Flex Vinyls including gloss and matt lamination films, gloss and matt monomeric vinyl and sand blast vinyl; and PALIGHT foam PVC sheets.
Bring Midcomp a real application brief, a failed sample or a problem substrate: the window film that did not perform, the campaign that is difficult to install, the surface that keeps failing, the job that takes too long, the client asking for a more sustainable option, or the application you would like to add to your offering.
A Midcomp media specialist will help interrogate the surface, campaign duration, production method, finishing, installation and budget to identify a more appropriate specification. The most valuable outcome may be a faster workflow, a more credible quote or an entirely new revenue stream.
