Neryos announced the launch of the IPN75, the latest in high-speed, low-cost colour inkjet printers.
The IPN75 colour inkjet printer produces 300 pages per minute in full colour at 1200 dpi. The IPN75 is suitable for volumes from five hundred thousand to three million pages per month.
The IPN75 is a cut sheet, four-colour aqueous inkjet printer using Kyocera heads that are capable of speeds of 75 metres per minute. The maximum sheet size is 321 x 421mm. Duplex printing requires a configuration with two print engines and a paper return device that flips the sheet. This set-up can run at 600 A4 images per minute. It can handle stocks from 75 to 300 g/m² including envelopes.
The print heads are drop-on-demand piezo. They provide 600 by 600 dot-per-inch (dpi) resolution and a gray scale capability with four drop sizes. A dedicated raster image processor (RIP) with colour management software accepts PDF and AFP.
The IPEX show was very successful, the company signed several purchase orders and distribution agreements.
The printing cost and the high throughput are the key feature of the printer. ‘With our new product, the running costs of the printer were half those of comparable toner based machines. It really enables our customer to create more value and interest for variable colour printing’ said Dominique Martin, Neryos CEO. |
